Though tick bite cause mild irritation to skin but they suck enough blood from the body and if the number of tick is high then there is a chance of anemia ( less amount of blood)in the body. However the most concerned aspect of tick bite is the transmission of disease like Lyme disease( can transmit to human),Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Erlichiosis Canis(E. Usually, each of the last three stages has to feed on host, such as dog to proceed to next stage. Most of the ticks life is spent sitting on the blade of grass or leaf waiting for the suitable host to pass by. The life cycle complete in following way, a female tick lays thousand of eggs and then dies. Larvae hatch from the eggs a few week later, feed( if they can find a host) and grows into nymph over a period of 2-3 weeks. The same pattern is repeated for transformation from nymph to adult.
